Does the dog need its own screen? On the lower panels and the door, usually yes. Pet-resistant mesh is a heavier vinyl-coated polyester with several times the tear strength of standard screen, and it stands up to claws, noses, and the daily push through the door. Above knee height, where nothing touches the mesh, standard screen keeps the view and the airflow.
Pet mesh usually goes in as a band along the bottom row of panels and on the door, with standard 18/14 or 20/20 no-see-um mesh above. A full cage of pet mesh is rarely worth it; it is heavier, darker, and moves less air. The contractor sizes the band to how tall the dog stands and where the wear actually is, standing at the cage with you.
Pet doors for screen walls are a common add-on, cut into a pet-mesh panel so the flap has something solid around it.
Cats climb, so on a cat household the band goes higher. Kids' bikes and pool toys live at the same height as dogs. And the pressure washer that takes the spring oak pollen off the frame will punch through standard mesh at close range; pet mesh forgives it. Rinsing gently is still the better habit.
Pet mesh installs alongside a lanai and porch rescreen, a pool cage rescreen, or a door repair, and it can replace a single chewed-through panel on its own. Mesh in an existing frame does not normally require a permit. Deed-restricted communities sometimes specify mesh color; pet mesh comes in charcoal to match.

Doors that drag, slam, or will not latch. Hinges, closers, latches, kick plates, new mesh, or a new door hung square when the old one is past adjusting.
Removable window screens re-meshed on the bench, entry-door and sliding-door screens rebuilt. The non-cage screen work for homes with and without enclosures.
Patch a few panels or redo the whole cage? When the mesh has gone brittle and chalky all over, a full rescreen resets the clock. Walls, roof, or the whole enclosure, new spline throughout.
